NYC Software Engineer Teaches Homeless Man To Code

A NYC based software engineer named Patrick offered a homeless man named Leo a choice: He would either give him $100, or teach him how to become a computer programmer.

The engineer faced an uproar of criticism from naysayers all over the internet, but went along with his plan anyway. Leo accepted the challenge of learning how to code.

Several weeks later, Leo is finishing up his first app, and has already received a job offer!

Human beings were born to exert energy; to create, to give back. Poverty is not our natural state of existence. A little guidance and belief in someone can make all of the difference in shaping a better world.
